Rev. Prof. Jacob Kibor is currently serving at Kabarak University as the University Provost in charge of Academic Affairs, Student Affairs and Spiritual Affairs. He is an ordained minister in the Africa Inland Church, Kenya. He has over 30 years experience working in a private Christian University in senior Administrative positions (Dean of students, Deputy Principal for Administration, Deputy Principal for Academic Affairs and 11 years as Principal/Vice chancellor).
He taught courses on Biblical, Educational, Theological and Intercultural Studies. He served as chairman for Accrediting Council for Theological Education in Africa for 5 years and as Administrator for another period of 5 years. He participated in Overseas Council International Conferences.
Prof. Kibor is currently the Chairman of Theological Advisory Group an arm of the Africa Inland Church that seeks to research various problems which face the church, understand them in Kenyan context and find biblical solutions. He has written a book on the Christian Response to Female Circumcision: A case study of the Marakwet of Kenya; Co-authored another book on Prayer in the Christian Church in Africa as well as some articles in refereed journal.
He holds PhD (Intercultural Studies) from Trinity International University, USA; Master of Theology from Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology, Kenya; Master of Divinity from Ontario Theological Seminary, Canada; Bachelor of Theology from Ontario Bible College, Canada; Diploma in Theology from Scott Theological College, Kenya and a Certificate in Historical and Geographical Settings of the Bible from the Institute of the Holy Land Studies, Jerusalem, Israel. He is a member of the Missiological Society.
